Someone asked me how do I get books? Well. There is a somewhat incestuous pool of books that circulates among Peace Corps volunteers and offices. Sometimes you get winners like “Into Thin Air”, a thrilling personal account of the 1997 disaster on Mt. Everest…other times you get ”Pretty Woman”, a love story featuring such characters as Rosie Gardener and Kent Bliss, complete with Rosie’s multi-million dollar lottery win, miraculous 200-lb weight loss and a particularly steamy scene involving a watermelon. It’s a gamble.
